Federal Poly Damaturu Gets Substantive Rector

President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has approved Dr. Ibrahim Bello Bashir’s appointment as substantive Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State.

According to a statement by the Register Muazu Aliyu Iliyasu office, which was made available to Leadership in Damaturu, the Yobe state Capital.

THe said the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State, for a single tenure of five years with effect from 4 February 2025, in line with the Federal Polytechnic (Amendment) Act, 2019.

He said in a letter conveying his appointment dated 4 February 2025, endorsed by Dr Nasir Sani Gwarzo mni, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, charged him with responsibility for matters relating to Polytechnic Management and operations.

It was gathered that Dr Ibrahim Bashir Bello, until his appointment, had been a staff member of Kaduna Polytechnic since 1996, and he held many positions, including Head of the Department of Environmental Science, Director of the College of Environmental Studies, and Director of Academic Planning.
