Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, has appointed Mr Fadeji Joseph Adebayo as the fourth substantive registrar of the institution for a single five-year term.
In a press statement released by Sanmi Enigbokan, deputy registrar, Information, Protocol and Passages, he said the appointment was approved at the 27th Statutory Meeting of the Governing Council held on Thursday, 27th August, 2026, and takes effect from Thursday, 10th September, 2026.
Adebayo succeeds Mr Gabriel Adeyemi Awe, whose tenure as registrar expires on Wednesday, 9th September, 2026.
Enigbokan said the outgoing registrar described his successor as “a seasoned administrator” expected to deploy his wealth of experience towards the growth and development of the institution.
Born on 8th October, 1969, at Akio Compound, Fiditi, in Afijio local government area of Oyo State, Adebayo began his educational journey at the Local Authority Teachers’ College, Iseyin, where he obtained his Teachers’ Grade II Certificate in 1988.
He subsequently obtained a Nigerian Certificate in Education from St. Andrew’s College of Education, Oyo, in 1992, before proceeding to the University of Ilorin, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education in English, Second Class Honours, Upper Division, in 1998.
Adebayo later obtained a Master of Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, in 2021, followed by a Master of Science in Public Administration from the same institution in 2024.
Adebayo is also a professionally certified member of several professional bodies. He became a Member of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria in 2012, a Chartered Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management in 2013, and an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations in 2020.
The statement added that Adebayo had served on several institution-based committees in various capacities, including as chairman, secretary, and member.
