The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack, has described the deepening collaboration between the Federal and State Civil Services as a cornerstone for strengthening governance and enhancing service delivery to all Nigerians.

Walson-Jack stated this while receiving the Head of Service of Zamfara State, Alhaji Yakubu Sani Haidara, and a delegation of state permanent secretaries who were on a courtesy visit to her office in Abuja.

In her address, the Head of Service stated that the ongoing synergy was already producing significant positive outcomes.

She highlighted specific areas of success to include capacity development, knowledge sharing, and the widespread adoption of reform initiatives outlined in the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021–2025 (FCSSIP25).

“The partnership between our tiers of civil service is not merely beneficial; it is essential.

“We are already seeing the tangible benefits of this collaboration in the form of a more skilled workforce and the seamless implementation of reforms that are bringing government closer to the people.

“This synergy is the bedrock upon which we will build a more efficient, productive, and citizen-centred public service for Nigeria,” she said.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Haidara, explained that the purpose of the visit was to forge stronger partnerships with the Federal Civil Service, particularly in the areas of capacity building, policy innovation, and reform implementation.

Haidara heaped praises on the head of Service for her transformative leadership.

“We are here today to learn from your exemplary leadership and to align ourselves with the visionary reforms you are championing.

“Your unwavering commitment to repositioning the Nigerian Civil Service for greater efficiency and productivity is an inspiration to all of us at the state level,” he said.

He specifically commended Mrs. Walson-Jack’s drive to establish a civil service that prioritises citizens.

“Your focus on creating a service anchored on accountability, integrity, and technology is crucial.

“It streamlines operations, fosters collaboration, and builds a workforce that is truly responsive, professional, and ready for the future,” Haidara added.

Furthermore, the Zamfara State Head of Service disclosed that his leadership in the State has already prioritised capacity building in line with federal initiatives.
