Engr. Femi Sanni (Araba) is a visionary entrepreneur and engineer whose career embodies the perfect blend of technical mastery, strategic innovation and social impact.

With a foundation in engineering excellence, Araba, as he is popularly known, has built an impressive portfolio spanning multiple industries, including telecommunications, construction, insurance, media and consulting.

Araba is the founder of Africa’s first mobile phone repair assurance company, a pioneering solution that redefined customer protection and service reliability within the continent’s rapidly growing tech ecosystem. Through his bold approach to innovation, Araba has consistently introduced ideas that challenge conventional business models and open new pathways for sustainable growth.

Beyond enterprise, Araba’s influence extends to youth development and empowerment. He is deeply passionate about nurturing the next generation of African innovators and leaders, and has created platforms that amplify youth voices, promote digital inclusion and inspire self-reliance.

Driven by an unshakeable belief in Africa’s potential, Araba continues to champion projects that merge technology with human progress, transforming challenges into opportunities and ideas into impactful realities. His journey reflects a lifelong commitment to excellence, innovation and the advancement of society through purposeful leadership.

An alumnus of the University of Ilorin, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, he is a COREN-registered engineer, a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (FNICE). His professional and entrepreneurial footprint spans continents, having founded TECHNOplus Global Resources Ltd in Nigeria and TECHNOplus Communications Inc. in Toronto, Canada.

He is also the pioneer president of the Nigeria Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association (Abuja) and a former Male Entrepreneur of the Year Award recipient by the Abuja Enterprise Agency.

Beyond business, Araba chairs Flow FM 92.7 Ilorin and Araba Football Club, both committed to grooming young talent.

He maintains that his investment in sports is driven by a desire to create sustainable opportunities for young Nigerians.

Sanni’s contributions to societal development have earned him numerous honours and recognitions, including chieftaincy titles such as Otun Maiyegun of Kishi, Otun Aare Soludero of Offa Land and Gbobaniyi of Obbo-Aiyegunle.

Sanni’s commitment to public service is further reflected in his political participation and civic engagement over the years, including his contesting for elective office and his continued active stakeholder in governance discourse in Kwara State.

In a rare personal disclosure, Araba traced his love for sports to his family heritage. “My father managed the defunct Tate and Lyle FC of Ilorin, a club that produced legends like Moses Otolorin.”

“As a child, I participated in long jump, high jump and soccer. Those formative years shaped my commitment to nurturing sporting talent,” he added.

Araba highlighted that beyond personal interest, sports represent one of the most effective and cost-efficient platforms for developing human capital.

“Investing in sports is investing in the youth and future leaders of our society,” he said.

He noted that his companies have consistently integrated sports into their corporate social responsibility programmes, reflecting a philosophy that aligns business success with societal impact.

Little wonder the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State’s chapter, recently presented a formal letter of appreciation to Araba, recognising his role in upgrading the association’s secretariat at George Agbazika Innih Stadium, Ilorin.

Araba said his support for sports is motivated not only by heritage but also by a desire to create sustainable opportunities for young Nigerians.

“Sports can transform lives, communities and the economy if we invest in them strategically,” he stated.

His efforts, experts say, reflect a growing recognition of sports as a viable economic and social development tool, a space where Nigeria, despite its untapped potential, can gain a competitive advantage in Africa’s emerging sports economy.
