Festival Marks Fifth Anniversary, Awards Veteran De Ultimate’s Contributions To Fuji

Over 6,431 lovers of Fuji Music, and 12 Fuji artistes gathered at the Muri Okunola Park to mark the fifth edition of Fuji Vibrations.

More than just a concert, Fuji Vibrations celebrates the art, culture and sounds of Fuji music, all wrapped up in the unique essence of the genre – the creation of familial feelings amongst its lovers.

Cranking up the night of electrifying performances for the audience of veteran and new Fuji fans were Shina Akani, Saheed Osupa, Abass Obesere, KS1 Malaika, Igwe Remi Aluko, Sulaimon Atawewe, SK Sensation, Lokoso Ajani, the trending and sensational Fatima Cinderella, Iyalode Fuji and Sikiru Lemon Fuji. DJ Kulet highly energetic sets provide a fresh and dynamic appeal to the genre.

The highlight of the concert was Fuji veteran, K1 De Ultimate performance which reiterated his living legend status whilst reminding the audience of Fuji’s beginnings and evolution. It was also followed by a conferment of a Special Recognition Award to the artiste for his enormous contribution to the genre.

Speaking at the event, Founder, ‘Fuji: A Opera’, Bobo Omotayo, said, “Fuji Vibrations isn’t simply a concert, it’s a family reunion. Fuji music has always been about community, even in times of differences. This platform exists to honour our shared ancestry, reminding us that despite our differences, we are stronger together. For five consecutive years, Fuji: A Opera, has brought fans closer to the heart of this amazing genre.”

Organised in collaboration with the Fuji Musician Association of Nigeria, the concert was supported by Goldberg Lager Beer and Imperial Black Whiskey, which refreshed the audience with their brands chilled beer and whiskey, and ice cream and bottled beverages by UAC Foods.
