Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack, has said the deepening collaboration between the federal and state civil services is a cornerstone for strengthening governance and enhancing service delivery to all Nigerians.
Walson-Jack spoke while receiving the Head of Service in Zamfara State, Alhaji Yakubu Sani Haidara and a delegation of state permanent secretaries on a courtesy visit to her office in Abuja.
She said the ongoing synergy was already producing significant positive outcomes.
She highlighted specific areas of success, including capacity development, knowledge sharing, and the widespread adoption of reform initiatives outlined in the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021–2025 (FCSSIP25).
“The partnership between our tiers of civil service is not merely beneficial; it is essential. We are already seeing the tangible benefits of this collaboration in the form of a more skilled workforce and the seamless implementation of reforms that are bringing government closer to the people.
“This synergy is the bedrock upon which we will build a more efficient, productive, and citizen-centred public service for Nigeria,” she said.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Haidara, explained that the purpose of the visit was to forge stronger partnerships with the Federal Civil Service, particularly in the areas of capacity building, policy innovation, and reform implementation.
