It said this is in line with renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

The minister, Engr. Joseph Utsev, dropped this hint during a visit to the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority LNRBDA office in Ilorin, Kwara State, over the weekend.

The minister said the visit was aimed at assessing ongoing projects, programmes and challenges within the authority as well as strengthening its operations.

Utsev highlighted ongoing implementation of the partial commercialisation of  the river basin through introduction of public-private partnerships for increased infrastructure development and procurement of new equipment for enhanced operations.

He listed projects to include completed dams for irrigation, various irrigation schemes, flood and erosion control projects, rehabilitation of urban water schemes, empowerment and extension services, boreholes and agricultural land acquisition among others in the state.
