The federal government through the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack, has urged public servants nationwide to fully embrace technology and enhance their skills in Information Communication Technology (ICT).

Walson-Jack made this known during an inspection of the 2024 Compulsory Confirmation and Promotion Examination (COMPRO) Computer-Based Test (CBT) aimed at senior category officers.

Speaking to reporters at the Ansar-ud-Deen Society Centenary Resource CBT Center in Abuja, she said that digitalisation is a cornerstone of the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2021-2025 (FCSSIP 25), which aims to drive reform initiatives.

She encouraged federal civil servants to elevate their ICT skills and embrace digitalisation, emphasising that it is crucial for success in the COMPRO CBT examination and for enhancing their professional roles.

The HCSF also praised the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for its ongoing support in providing technical assistance as the leading organization for CBT facilities in Nigeria.

Walson-Jack assured participants that her office, in collaboration with JAMB, has implemented measures to ensure a smooth and efficient examination process.

She commended the candidates for their cooperation, which contributed to the orderly conduct of the examination. Mrs. Mahmood noted that the 2024 COMPRO exercise was conducted across approximately 50 centres, including the FCT, with a total of 13,993 candidates participating.
