During the distribution event, titled “Fidelity Bank CSR Donation,” the branch leader of the Fidelity Bank corporate social responsibility team, Babatunde Awotayo, highlighted that the Fidelity Food Packs initiative is a critical part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility efforts.

He said the initiative aims to mitigate the impact of hunger among vulnerable groups, an issue exacerbated by the current state of food security in the nation.

“I believe this initiative is a godsend, as you can see the number of people here to collect these food packs that we are distributing. This is a critical period in Nigeria, where many people cannot even feed themselves. This effort will make a significant impact on the lives of people in Gwagwalada,” Awotayo said.

Awotayo urged corporate organizations and well-to-do individuals to emulate what the bank is doing by distributing relief items to alleviate poverty and hunger in the land.
