Budding film maker, Zainab Bay- ero, has unveiled a documentary that shows the times of former Emir of Kano.

Titled ‘My Father The Emir: A Portrait Of Ado Bayero’, the pro- ject chronicles the incredible life and times of the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero, who is one of the most powerful and influential monarchs in Nigeria’s history.

In a statement released to LEADERSHIP, Zainab, noted that the project is a product of sacrifice, courage and passion to document her father’s eventful tenure at the Kano Emirate. “I am thankful to God for making today, come to pass finally. It has been a journey and I can’t wait for rve audience to see and have a glimpse of life at the Emirate,” she said Written, produced and directed by his daughter, Princess Zainab Jummai Ado Bayero, the docu- ment was screened recently at Freedom Park which is a histori- cal site itself and made a great set- ting to showcase this historical and cultural documentary movie about a man of peace and culture who played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s socio political and economic land- scape for half a century.

The press screening which was attended by distinguished guests, selected media and movie fans

They include ace director of ‘Kiss of Death’ movie, Terry Mc- Mahon, the Dutch High Commis-sioner of Lagos, Mr. Michel Deelen and director of Alliance Francaise, Monsieur Marc Brebant who were all captivated by the story of the monarch brought to life on screen.
