“During the momentous on boarding of members of the MSII SDG Challenge Cohort 3, His Highness Muhammad Sanusi II addressed the finalists. In his speech, he said; “In overcoming obstacles, we need new and creative ways and this involves inculcating innovation and resilience as a key element of your leadership. Leaders do not only have to manage their energy, but that of the people they lead. It’s important for you as leaders to remain grounded, innovative and flexible amidst uncertainty and this program aims to provide you with all the tools that you require to not just catalyse your projects but to excel in your professional lives.”

The statement also added that: “Thanks to our incubation and accelerator programmes, we have already made a significant positive impact on more than 2,000 teachers, and this number continues to grow. By providing them with essential tools and resources, we are enabling these educators to create effective and engaging learning environments, benefiting nearly 50,000 children so far. Our ultimate goal is to consistently empower teachers, thereby enhancing the quality of education for children across sub-Saharan Africa.

“Looking ahead with great anticipation, we are excited to witness the transformation that will arise from the implementation of innovative projects by the educators of Cohort 3. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the educational landscape and contribute to a brighter future for the region.

“The MSII SDG Initiative is a non-profit organization in partnership with 1 Million Teachers that focuses on building the capacity of teachers to provide an inclusive learning experience and drive innovative community projects by equipping teacher-Changemakers with resources, skills and networking opportunities.”
