Fintiri Opens 5-day Training For Adamawa Officials

Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has inaugurated a five-day professional training programme for senior government officials on protocol, etiquette, capacity building, and attitudinal change in Yola.

The training, which began on Monday at the Government House, Yola, is scheduled to end on Friday, May 22, 2026.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Governor Fintiri, who was represented by the Head of Service,Isa Ardo Shehu, said the programme was designed to enhance efficiency, professionalism, and service delivery across ministries, departments, and agencies in the state.

He said the administration remained committed to strengthening the public service, especially as government continues to commission and execute major projects across the state.

Fintiri urged participants to take full advantage of the training to improve their performance and personal development for more effective service delivery.

The programme is being organised by Platinum Protocol and Verity Consultants Limited and sponsored by the Adamawa State Government.

Speaking earlier, the Chief Consultant of the firm, Ambassador Ibrahim M. Bashir, commended the governor for prioritising professional development within the state’s public service.

He said the training was designed to equip participants with practical skills to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and result-oriented performance in official duties.

According to him, participants will be exposed to lectures and practical sessions on protocol and etiquette, official ceremonies, order of precedence, dining etiquette, convoy management, flags and logos, as well as coordination among security personnel, protocol officers, and media teams.

Bashir expressed confidence that the exercise would improve participants’ attitudes, interpersonal relations, and overall approach to public service assignments.

The Permanent Secretary, Administration, Hamman Bello Aminu, hosted the programme, which attracted government officials, protocol officers, and security personnel attached to the Government House.
