Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has ordered the commissioner of Police in the state, Afolabi Babatola to investigate the alleged murder of Tukur Abdallah, an SS2 student at Sabilur-Rashid Academy.

The order was contained in a statement on Friday by the chief press secretary to the governor, Humwashi Wonosikou.

Abdallah was allegedly killed by security personnel attached to ‘Operation Farauta’, following a complaint over a missing phone by his neighbour.

The deceased was allegedly beaten to stupor by the security personnel and later died at the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola.
