Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri has retained six former commissioners from his first term. The six former commissioners were among the 23 commissioner-nominees he sent to the state House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
The retained former commissioners are John Ishaya Dabari, who served as commissioner for finance; Dr Umar Garba Pella, information and strategy; Ibrahim Mijinyawa, local government and chieftaincy affairs; Abdullahi Adamu Prame, rural and community development; Aloysius Babadoke, youths and sports and Adamu Atiku Abubakar, former commissioner for works and housing.
Others are Wali Yakubu (Madagali), Mary Augustina Vasumu (Michika), Hon Usman Abdullahi (Mubi South), Hon Tijjani Maksha (Maiha), Prof Fintiwa David Jatau (Gombi).
There are also Job Haggai Sama (Girei), Barr. Bello Hamman Dirham (Yola South), Chief Felix Tangwami and Hon Iliya James (Demsa), Hon. Ibrahim Haruna (Shelleng) and Hon. Kallamu Musa Mohammed (Mayo Belwa),
The rest are Emmanuel Biridimso (Toungo), Mrs. Nedo Geoffrey (Numan), Titus Solomon (Lamurde), Anthony Birina (Guyuk), Mohammed Sadiq (Ganye), Ayuba Audu Tanko (Mubi North).
The speaker of the Assembly, Hon Bathiya Wesley, who presided over the plenary, said the governor urged the House to consider and confirm the nominees to form his cabinet.
Wesley said that the date for screening will be communicated.
