The ceremony, held in Lagos, celebrated Abioye’s outstanding contributions to the nation’s digital landscape. Despite his absence due to commitments in an Eastern African country, Mr. Bimbo Abioye was represented by Ladi Ipaye, who graciously accepted the award on his behalf.

The accolade underscores Abioye’s remarkable achievements and relentless dedication to advancing Nigeria’s digital economy.

Reflecting on Abioye’s impact, the executive director, Business Development at Fintrak, Ladi Ipaye said, “Bimbo Abioye has spearheaded Fintrak’s transformation into a powerhouse within the fintech ecosystem, elevating the firm from a modest consultancy to an international leader in software development, particularly in the financial sector.”

He stated that Abioye’s visionary leadership challenged the dominance of foreign banking solutions in Nigeria, championing the superiority of locally developed software, saying by delivering tailor-made solutions aligned with regulatory standards and global best practices such as the International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS), Abioye reshaped the industry’s landscape.

According to him, Abioye’s influence extends beyond national borders, with Fintrak’s footprint expanding across Africa. By fostering capacity building initiatives, Abioye emerges as a Pan-Africanist, nurturing talent not only within Nigeria but also in neighboring countries like Benin.
