A section of the Muhammad Sidi Bage Federal Secretariat Complex in Lafia, Nasarawa State, was on Saturday engulfed by fire, causing panic among workers and visitors.
The fire reportedly started around 4:00 p.m. from an office located on the second floor of the three-storey building, sending thick smoke billowing from the affected area.
Eyewitnesses said firefighters from both the Federal and State Fire Services battled to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the complex.
