The Crown Flour Mill Limited, a subsidiary of OLAM AGRI International, has empowered over 10,000 women wheat farmers in Northern Nigeria.

According to the company, the women were given hybrid seedlings as part of efforts to increase cultivation and complement the federal government’s food security programme.

The Vice President of the company, Dr. Bolaji Anifowose, who stated this in Abuja during a gala night organised to recognize outstanding customers in the Northern part of the country, said OLAM AGRI International has also provided infrastructural facilities as part of its social responsibility.

Anifowose assured that the company would continue to commit significant resources to women’s empowerment as well as protecting customers in the flour business that run into trillions for the nation’s economic growth.

The General Manager of National Logistics and Supply Chain, Dr. Vitus Kasa, said the management would continue to appreciate the contributions of customers, which has led to the expansion of the company significantly.

Kasa said the company’s feedback mechanism has not only led to increased productivity but also developed and sustained the quality of products.
