In a speech celebrating their achievements, the managing director of ARCO Group, Alfred I. Okoigun, praised their dedication to excellence in Nigerian media which has earned Channels Television multiple awards.

Okoigun also drew a parallel between their achievements and ARCO Group’s commitment to excellence, which has been central to the company’s success since its establishment in 1980.

He shared how ARCO’s philosophy led to initiatives like Project NEST, which celebrates Nigerians excelling in various fields, both locally and internationally, while emphasising Channels Television’s role in promoting positive narratives about Nigeria, particularly through its Diaspora Network programme.

“Channels Television has been a consistent partner in this effort, mainly through its Diaspora Network programme, which airs on Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.

“This programme highlights the achievements of Nigerians excelling globally, showcasing their sacrifices, professionalism, and impact.

“Today, we honour John and Sola Momoh for their groundbreaking contributions to Nigerian media. Under their leadership, Channels Television has elevated Nigerian journalism to the international stage while upholding the values of integrity, professionalism, and excellence.

“Though we share a personal friendship, this celebration is rooted in something more significant: a shared commitment to core values that strengthen our society and inspire future generations. On behalf of ARCO Group, I thank you for coming to honour the Momohs and celebrate their spirit of excellence,” he added.
