Chemical and Allied Products (CAP) Plc has marked the second anniversary of its Women’s Inclusive Network for Growth and Success (WINGS) with a nationwide outreach initiative supporting women and vulnerable communities across Nigeria.

The activities held in commemoration of the milestone and in alignment with global Women’s Month celebrations, included visits to Noble Homes Orphanage in Kubwa, Federal Capital Territory; Eghosa Orphanage Home in Benin, Edo State; and communities in Gaya and Madobi Local Government Areas of Kano State.

CAP female employees volunteered across these locations to deliver essential supplies, including food and clothing items, engage with women and children in the communities, and organise workshops on hygiene, personal care, and practical health and wellbeing practices for women and girls.

“WINGS reflects our belief that inclusive organisations are better positioned to create meaningful impact both within the workplace and in the communities they serve,” said managing director of CAP PLC and Chairperson of WINGS, Bolarin Okunowo.

“The initiative was created to strengthen leadership opportunities for women within CAP and across our communities. In industries such as manufacturing, where women remain underrepresented in leadership, mentorship and access to strong professional networks can make a significant difference. Over the past two years, WINGS has evolved into a structured programme focused on mentorship, leadership development, and community outreach, and we remain committed to expanding its reach and impact in the years ahead,” she added.

The week-long activities concluded with a commemorative anniversary event in Lagos, bringing together employees and external partners to reflect on the initiative’s progress and reaffirm CAP PLC’s commitment to advancing women’s empowerment within the organisation and beyond.
