A health firm, Ezzycare, has launched a new medical app aimed at providing easy access to healthcare services for Nigerians.

The app, which is available on both Apple Appstore and Google Playstore, connects users to nearby healthcare providers who can offer video consultations, home visits, lab tests, and medicine delivery.

The CEO of Ezzycare, Dr. Turngee Malu, at a press briefing yesterday in Abuja, said that the app is “a win-win situation for both care seekers and healthcare providers, as it gives them more freedom and flexibility in accessing and providing healthcare services.

He added that the app is designed to offer a convenient and affordable way for people to access quality healthcare solutions without having to visit the hospital or clinic.

“Users can choose from a variety of healthcare providers, compare their prices and experience, and review and rate the care they receive. Users can also control where they want to get the care and how much they want to pay,” he stated.

According to the Malu, Ezzycare, which currently has about 1000 doctors, is “a game-changer in the healthcare industry, offering a user-friendly interface and advanced features that make it easy for users to find and book the best healthcare options for their needs.”

He also noted that the app is also beneficial for healthcare providers who want to have more control over their time and earnings, citing it as a solution to brain drain challenge in the country.

Malu further stated that the the app is especially useful in a country like Nigeria where access to healthcare is a challenge for most people in rural areas and people in remote places like the military in Sambisa Forest and other war zones.

He, therefore, called on the federal government to inculcate EzzyCare in its primary healthcare programme, saying “With EzzyCare, we can take doctors to rural areas, who normally wouldn’t go there”.
