A firm, UTL Trust Management Services Limited (UTL) and its investment management subsidiary, UTL Asset Management Limited (UTLAM), have opened their Kano office and launch of the UTLAM Halal Fund.

The expansion is designed to strengthen access to professional trust, wealth management and investment services in Northern Nigeria.

The new office will serve as a strategic hub for client engagement, business development and thedelivery of the combined offerings of UTL and UTLAM.

At the event, Mrs Omotoro Olaide, the executive director of UTL Trust Management Services Limited, said, “Kano is one of the most important commercial centres in Northern Nigeria, so expanding our presence here was a natural next

step for us. We recognise the scale of economic activity in this region and the needs of the individuals, families and businesses driving it. We want to be closer to these clients, understand their needs better and make our services more accessible to them.

“For us, this opening is about more than having an office in Kano. It is about building relationships and providing the kind of specialised trust and wealth preservation services that individuals, businesses and institutions need to protect their assets and plan for the future, She said.

“We are here to build lasting relationships with the people and businesses of Kano and to support their financial and long-term aspirations.”

Through the new office, UTL will expand its reach across its Private Trust, Public Trust and Corporate Trust businesses, supporting clients with solutions that address

wealth preservation, succession planning, asset protection, institutional governance and capital market transactions.

Its services include estate and succession planning, wills and trusts, security  trusteeship, bond trusteeship, escrow services and other specialised trust structures.

These services are designed to support individuals and families seeking to preserve and transfer wealth across generations, as well as businesses, public-sector institutions and corporate entities requiring professional fiduciary services.

For businesses and institutions operating across Kano and neighbouring markets, the presence of UTL offers a closer point of engagement for trust arrangements and transactions that require professional oversight, transparent administration and the management of multiple stakeholder interests.

Commenting on the expansion, Dr. Shamsudeen Usman, the Chairman, Board of Directors, UTL Trust Management Services Limited said:

“We are not opening an office in Kano simply to add another location. We are here because we want to bring our experience, services and commitment closer to one of Nigeria’s most important commercial

centres.

Kano has always been a centre of commerce and enterprise. For generations, its people have built businesses, created wealth and made a significant contribution to Nigeria’s economy. It is a market that knows

the value of strong relationships and takes seriously the institutions that serve it.

That is why Kano is the right place for UTL to deepen its presence. But our aspiration goes beyond a physical address. We intend to build lasting relationships, understand the needs of this market and help individuals,

families and institutions preserve, manage and grow their wealth.” he said.
