An exhibition company, Trade Show Organisers Nigeria Limited, has sought the support and collaboration of government in order to grow local businesses and manufacturers.
The appeal was made by Brad Smith, the exhibition manager of Food and Beverages West Africa, at the exhibition held at Victoria Island, Lagos, which started on June 10,2025.
He said the major objective of his company was to promote Nigerian businesses and introduce new products to Nigeria, particularly products popular among many Nigerians in Diaspora.
“We will love to see how we can collaborate with the government to be able to bring things that involve much support for local businesses and local manufacturers to help grow and help them develop. We would like to have conversation, if they listen, we would love to work with them,” he stated.
Smith said that the exhibition has 350 participating companies from over 50 countries, including over 6,000 individuals attending from across West Africa.
He admitted that his company has been getting support from government, but they will need more support from the government. “We would love more support like to have more support. We will need their support to boost the economy.”
