Foremost tertiary education financing technology firm in Africa, PressPayNg, has announced its readiness to work with Nigeria’s federal and state governments, tertiary institutions across the country, corporate organisations and donors to support Nigerian students with scholarship, tuition donations, education insurance, holiday jobs and HMO interventions.

The firm acknowledged that investing in education is the most cost-effective way to drive economic development, improve skills and opportunities for Nigerian youths.

“PressPayNg is ready to partner with every Nigerian parent and student in making tertiary education accessible, affordable and attainable,” team lead, technology implementation for PressPayNg, Ebuka Nwakoro said in a chart with journalists in Abuja.

“We have offered tertiary education scholarships and tuition donations to several students across the geo political zones in the country,” he added.

Nwakoro said Nigeria is being incapacitated academically by the ongoing six months nationwide ASUU strike.

According to him, “Nigeria’s capacity building is in deficit with incessant industrial actions as the ongoing nationwide strike by ASUU and school dropout occasioned by lack of financing support. Over 570 students are currently school drop outs across the country.”
