To provide equal opportunity for Nigerians to own assets regardless of socio-economic status, the Camhirst Robots England, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Nigeria Building and Road Research Institute (NBRI) and the Regional Sustainable Energy Center of Excellence for Sub-Sahara Africa aimed at delivering affordable housing schemes to low-income individuals across the country.

Speaking during the signing of the MoU yesterday in Abuja, the founder/CEO of Camhirst Robots England, Adam Ahmed expressed his dedication to this laudable project, emphasising its mission to provide affordable housing solutions while leveraging robotics technology to stimulate employment in the housing sector of Nigeria.

According to him, the initiative aims to promote vocational training for citizens, ultimately benefitting the entire community.

Ahmed stated, “We are actively seeking strategic partnerships with private sector investors and government institutions to raise awareness that robotics technology innovation does not take jobs from individuals but, in fact, creates a substantial number of jobs for African nations. This project not only benefits us but also aims to transform the livelihoods of vulnerable populations in Nigeria.”

He said the ambitious project, which has been in development for five years, involves an investment of millions of dollars.

He said the implementation of robot technology is set to launch in November this year and will be fully operational in 2024.

The project’s mission is to transform the lives of Nigerians through technological innovation, initially targeting regions such as Abuja, Lagos, and various other parts of the country.

Ahmed noted, “Robot technology can construct house structures in just 72-48 hours, a stark contrast to the months or years required by traditional methods. We are committed to training individuals from diverse vocational backgrounds, such as plumbers, electricians, and technicians, in line with UK standards. Our company is well-prepared to collaborate with the Nigerian government, which is why we have signed this MoU.”

The executive director of the Regional Sustainable Energy Center of Excellence for Sub-Saharan Africa, Ambassador Dr. Ibrahim Awulu shared the commitment to providing affordable and high-quality housing for low-income earners in Nigeria.

He said this transformative partnership signifies a monumental step towards addressing Nigeria’s housing challenges and creating a more sustainable and prosperous future for its citizens.
