SeerBit, a leading payment solutions provider in Africa, has announced a strategic partnership with Sabre, a global technology powerhouse in the travel industry, to tackle challenges in the Africa travel industry.
The global travel industry, which contributed nearly $10 trillion to the global economy in 2023, continues to face significant challenges in the payment space, including complex cross-border transactions, fragmented payment systems, and security concerns. These issues have limited growth in the sector, which supports over 449 million jobs worldwide and is projected to contribute $16 trillion to the global economy by 2034.

Speaking of the partnership, the founder and CEO of SeerBit, Omoniyi Kolade, told LEADERSHIP that the partnership aimed to address these challenges by offering enhanced payment solutions that improve operational efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance, both locally and internationally.

With SeerBit’s technology integrated into Sabre’s travel platform, travel businesses will be able to streamline their operations and provide a better experience for their customers, Kolade affirmed, adding that, “This collaboration is timely for the travel industry, as our advanced payment solutions are designed to simplify complex processes. By partnering with Sabre, we are equipping travel businesses with the tools they need to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive the rapid transformation of the global travel ecosystem.”

Senior regional director at Sabre Travel Solutions, Central West Africa, Dare Olayiwola, expressed excitement over the partnership, stating, “Africa is a key growth market for us, and this alliance with SeerBit will empower travel businesses across the continent with cutting-edge payment solutions.”
