First Lady Mourns Victims Of Niger Tanker Explosion

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Remi Tinubu, has expressed deep sadness over the tragic fuel tanker explosion that occurred on Saturday, January 18, at Dikko Junction, Niger State, claiming several lives and leaving many injured.

In a statement released on Sunday, the First Lady conveyed her condolences to Governor Mohammed Umar Bago, the families of the victims, and the entire people of Niger State.

“I condole with the Governor, His Excellency Mohammed Umar Bago, the families and loved ones of the departed souls, the injured, and the entire people of Niger State,” she said.

Senator Tinubu also urged Nigerians to exercise caution around accident scenes, particularly those involving vehicles transporting flammable materials.

 

“I urge everyone to please be more cautious and avoid scenes of accidents, especially involving vehicles conveying inflammable substances, due to the high risks involved,” she advised.

 

The First Lady offered prayers for the bereaved families and the injured, asking Almighty God to provide comfort and speedy recovery to those affected.

 

“God bless Niger State. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” she concluded.
