Flood: Katsina Lawmaker Visits Affected Areas, Donates To Victims

Member representing Jibia-Kaita federal constituency of Katsina State, Hon Sada Soli, has paid a sympathy visit to communities affected by flood disaster in his constituency where he donated cash to the victims.

A visibly disturbed Soli promised to table a motion on the floor of the House of Representatives on Wednesday this week to seek national support for victims of flood disasters.

Some communities in Kaita and Jibia local government area of the state were recently affected by flood disaster which occurred following sustained rainfall. The flood destroyed some houses.

Upon receipt of the information on the disaster, Hon Soli in company of some aides, visited the affected communities including Makada, Bugaje and Natsinta where he made the donation.

At Makada where the lawmaker and his entourage had to cross a river before accessing the community, he enjoined the victims to accept the disaster as an act of Almighty Allah and urged them not to despair.

Hon Soli also visited Bugaje and Natsina communities of Jibia LG, and Kabobi village in Kaita LGA, a community bordering Niger Republic where the flood also wreaked havoc. The lawmaker appealed to other well-meaning citizens to support those affected by the disaster.
