The commissioner, during the on the spot assessment tour of the ministry in conjunction with those of Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency and Office of the Auditor General (State), commended the present government on the desilting.

He warned against refuse dumps in unauthorised places and reiterated that blocking drains and culverts was a big offence which aside from causing floods, destroys the asphaltic layers of the roads.

The commissioner warned that culprits of refuse dumps  would face the wrath of the state environmental law.
