The Wife of the governor of Kogi State, Mrs. Hafiza Yahaya Bello, has advised the people of the State to take cognizance of their hygiene level as the flood recedes.

Hafiza gave the advice during a facility tour on some of the IDPs camps in the State.

She said the flood has affected so much in the state, including means of livelihood, accommodation and drinking water.

According to her, everyone must pay attention to their hygiene, as a growing concern, due to the flood experienced in the State recently.

“We need to stay healthy, after going through what we just went through. So, we owe ourselves personal sacrifices to get things right.

“Findings have shown that, for post-flood experience, there could be an outbreak of diseases, so we need to take precautions.
