Our correspondent gathered that the incident happened during heavy rain while they were digging for gold at the mining site.

The incident came a week after 30 people were trapped in a mining pit in Galkogo,  Shiroro local government area of the state.

It was learnt that the flood had first taken the daughter and in a bid to rescue her, the mother was seized by the heavy water current into a nearby tributary.
