The Adamawa State government has extended the resumption of schools for the first term of the 2024/2025 academic session by two weeks.

This decision was made in response to an alert issued by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMeT) regarding impending floods in some local government areas of the state.

According to a circular released on Friday September 13, 2024, all Zonal Directors, Initiating Principals, and Principals have been directed to comply with the new resumption date.

The Acting Executive Secretary of the Post Primary Schools Management Board, Bilsan Panuel, disclosed this in a statement.

The statement read, “With reference to the above subject matter, I hereby write to inform you that the First Term 2024/2025 Academic Session resumption date is now September 30, 2024.”

It added that the extension was “due to the anticipated flood disaster that we will be experiencing. Please adhere strictly to the above information.”
