As this year’s floods continue to ravish many communities in the country, the International Association of World Peace Advocates IAWPA has launched a Special Survival Fund For Victims of the flood nationwide.
The association which Sympathised with the victims, said the fund will be used to ameliorate the sufferings of those affected.
Amb. Dr. Emmanuel Nkweke the International Spokesman of the association, called on good and well meaning people of the society to donate in kind to the victims of the flood via it’s designated account number with ECOBANK PLC 5433068497 (INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF WORLD PEACE ADVOCATES)
He also said for those who wish to donate items, they can have their individual names or the named of the organisations or logos customised to their donations for public accountability.
“We intend to be very accountable on this project that is why we are going to publish the names of those who will be contributing to this Special Survival Fund and also crest the names of those contributing items to whatever they contribute. You know we are a well established international association that has always identified and shown commitment to whatever concerns humanity as enshrined in the UN Sustainable Development Goals SDGs”
It will be noted that this year’s floods has become a landmark one and it’s considered as part of the problems associated with climate change which under the SDGs.
