Former Ebonyi State Executive Council members of the Divine Mandate administration (2015 to 2023) and the former commissioner for information, Hon. Orji Uchenna Orji, have felicitated with the Senate deputy majority leader, Senator David Nweze Umahi, on his 60th birthday today.
In a felicitation message, jointly signed by Chief Ugbala Igwe Kenneth, former secretary to the state government (SSG) and coordinating commissioner and Chief Cletus N. Ofoke, former attorney-general and commissioner for justice, the former council members wished him more blessings of age, good health and greater heights in the service of the fatherland.
They said, “We are super proud to share the testimonies of your revolutionary leadership ideals that changed the ugly narrative suffered by our people before your time as governor. We are eternally grateful to God who has continued to bless the future of our state and all your aspirations.
“We assure Your Excellency of our prayers and best wishes as you set a pace in the nation’s desire for passion for service to humanity,” they said.
On his part, Orji celebrated Umahi over his hallmarks of stewardship in the Olympian ladder of service to humanity which he has consecutively attained as an accomplished captain of industry, resourceful state party chairman and accomplished governor of eight years standing and his trail blazing exploits in the 10th Senate as a deputy majority leader.
He described Umahi as a mentor and life coach who has made the state know that service to humanity is service to God and that voluntary service to better humanity has greater reward in eternity.
“We thank God Almighty for making you a vessel of honour for the emancipation of the people of our dear state. We honour the womb that gave you unto us as an instrument of our civilization. May God continue to distinguish you in the service of our nation,” he said.
