The former District Head of Azare, Bashar Kabir Umar, who was previously dethroned, has commended Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State for converting his dethronement to termination of appointment in a clemency extended to him.

The pardon was announced in a letter addressed to Katagum Emirate Council and signed by Nasir Ɗewu from the office of the Chairman, Local Government Service Commission Bauchi State.

Addressing a throng of supporters who assembled at his Kano Road residence in Azare, Umar commended governor Mohammed and the committee that reviewed his earlier dethronment for exonerating him of alleged wrongdoings.

He said following the pardon, he is now ready to serve his community in any possible capacity, assuring his dedication and commitment to serving people of Katagum emirate and Bauchi State at large.

Umar also commended Governor Mohammed for the clemency, arguing that it is a testament to the governor’s commitment to justice, fairness and equity.
