The former helmsman of the National Teachers Institute (NTI) Kaduna, Dr Mustapha Bunza has died at age 84.
Late Bunza, who is also the district head of Bunza, died at Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH) in the early hours of yesterday after a brief Illness.
Until his death, he held many positions, including Provost COE, commissioner in old Sokoto State, and registrar of UDUS. After retiring from the Federal Civil Service in 1997, he was appointed district head of Bunza.
He was buried according to Islamic rites around 2 pm on Thursday at Bunza’s main cemetery, with Governor Nasir Idris’ top government officials and other sympathizers in attendance.
Governor Idris condoled with the family of the deceased on behalf of the people and government of Kebbi State.
He described Dr Bunza as a scholar of excellence and a complete gentleman.
The governor prayed to Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and the family fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
