Former President Abdulsalami Abubakar has praised Katsina State Governor Umaru Radda for his efforts in addressing the menace of banditry in the state.
Abubakar made the commendation during a condolence visit to the Yar’adua family over the passing of Hajiya Dada Yar’adua.
The former president expressed his admiration for Governor Radda’s achievements in restoring peace to the state, particularly in the 24 local government areas that were previously affected by insecurity.
He noted that the governor’s efforts have enabled farmers to return to their farms, a significant step towards normalcy.
Abubakar’s message to the governor was one of congratulations and encouragement, saying, “I want to commend you for the effort you have made in bringing peace to Katsina State and indeed Nigeria.”
He also extended his condolences to the people of Katsina State, praying that Allah accepts Hajiya Yar’adua’s soul in Aljanah Fiddausi (Paradise).
