The minority leader of the 9th Senate, Senator Philip Aduda, has applauded the developmental efforts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister, Nyesom Wike, calling him a “miracle worker.”
During a memorial prayer event for his late mother, Mrs. Jummai Aduda, held at his residence in Karu, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) on Monday, Aduda urged FCT residents to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu and his administration.
He stated that as politicians, once the election concludes, it is time for governance, saying that it is in their collective interest as Nigerians to support the president, irrespective of their political affiliations.
Aduda stressed that backing President Tinubu and the FCT minister will significantly benefit Nigerians, particularly those in the FCT, allowing them to experience the positive impact of the present administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“It is undeniable that significant progress has been made since President Tinubu appointed Wike as the FCT Minister, and both the Minister and the President deserve commendation,” he said.
The former senate minority leader noted that Wike has not only transformed the city centre but is also driving considerable infrastructural development across the satellite towns in the six area councils.
“For the first time, the FCT now has representation in the Federal Executive Council (FEC) under the current administration. Additionally, the FCT is witnessing an autonomous Civil Service, led by an indigenous Head of Service,” he added.
He pointed out various developmental projects throughout the area councils and rural communities, along with significant improvements to infrastructure in the heart of Abuja.
“The best course of action for the people of the FCT is to continue praying for and supporting the policies of this administration, ensuring they reap the benefits of democracy,” Aduda said.
