A former senatorial candidate in the 2023 general election in Yobe State, Alhaji (Dr) Aji Kolomi (Aiki) has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Hon Aji’s resignation from the opposition party in Yobe State was contained in a letter dated 1st March 2025 which was addressed to the PDP Ngurbuwa ward chairman, in Gujba local government area of Yobe State.
The resignation letter reads in part, “I wish to appreciate the leaders of the party for giving me the opportunity to be a member of the party and also offering me the Candidacy to contest for the 2023, Yobe East senatorial election.
“I want to inform you that I must wholeheartedly express deep-seated gratitude for the cooperation given to me I enjoyed over the years. Attached is my membership Card No: 0396450.
“It has been a great privilege to be a major contributor to the deepening of democracy in a manner that considerately leveraged grassroots politics, encouraged collaboration, and fostered myriad partnerships under the auspices of the PDP.”
