The immediate past chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State, Dr. Jamil Jibo Magayaki, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside Governor Dauda Lawal, has secured the party’s ticket to contest the Kaura Namoda North State Constituency seat in the Zamfara State House of Assembly.

The declaration was made on Thursday by the chairman of the Zamfara State APC Primary Elections Committee, Hon. Buba Galadima, at Karma Hotel in Gusau, where Magayaki emerged through affirmation.

According to the committee, Magayaki was endorsed by 9,987 delegates drawn from the five wards of the constituency, reflecting what it described as overwhelming confidence and support from party members and stakeholders.

Speaking after his emergence, Magayaki expressed appreciation to Governor Dauda Lawal, APC leaders, delegates, and the people of Kaura Namoda North for the confidence reposed in him.

He pledged to work towards securing victory for the APC in the forthcoming general elections and to deliver effective representation if elected.
