A non-governmental organisation that advocates for the rights and welfare of Nigerians living abroad, Nigeria Diaspora Forum (NDF) has opened its first home office in Abuja.
The NDF announced the opening of the office and the appointment of Hon Chike Amadichi as its country director in Nigeria in a statement yesterday.

The NDF board chairman, United States of America, Dr Joachin Okafor, said the forum decided to establish a home office in Abuja to serve the needs of over 20 million Nigerians in the Diaspora, who often require support and assistance from their home country.

The home office which is located at the Kano House in Abuja, will serve as a liaison between the NDF and the different foreign embassies, high commissions and ambassadors in Nigeria, as well as the Nigerian embassies in various countries.

The NDF stated that its main goal is to enhance the living conditions of Nigerians in the diaspora as well as harness their resources and potentials for the development of Nigeria.

The forum also expressed its readiness to partner with the federal and state governments, and other government agencies to bring about infrastructural and human capital development in Nigeria.
It urged Nigerians in the Diaspora to join the organisation and contribute to its vision and mission.
