The Forum of National Youth Leaders of All Political Parties in Nigeria (FNLYLPPN) has strongly refuted the African Action Congress (AAC)‘s allegations that it colluded with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and engaged in fraudulent activities to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.

In a statement issued and co-signed by Hon. Chinazam Ike—Co-Chairman of the FNLYLPPN and National Youth Leader of the Action Democratic Party (ADP)—alongside Comrade Eze Chukwu Onyebuchi, Co-Chairman of the FNLYLPPN and National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the forum dismissed the AAC’s claims as “unfounded, malicious, and politically motivated.”

Emphasizing its non-partisan commitment, the FNLYLPPN maintained that it has long been dedicated to uniting young Nigerians across political divides and advocating for increased youth participation in governance.

“The FNLYLPPN has always maintained its non-partisan stance, providing a platform for advancing the concerns of youth in politics and governance across all parties,” the statement read.

The forum also highlighted its significant involvement in key political initiatives, notably the National Action Plan for Youth Inclusion Medium Term Framework 2024-2027, a collaborative program developed with development partners to bolster youth participation in the political process.

Addressing allegations of financial impropriety, the FNLYLPPN rejected claims that 30 million Naira was distributed to National Youth Leaders in exchange for endorsing President Tinubu. Describing these allegations as “untrue” and devoid of strategic merit, the forum underscored its enduring record of integrity and commitment to championing youth rights.

Furthermore, the press statement raised concerns regarding internal issues within the AAC, citing factionalism and incidents of impersonation. The FNLYLPPN urged the AAC to address its own internal challenges instead of directing unfounded allegations at the forum.

Concluding its statement, the FNLYLPPN called on Nigerians to disregard the allegations and continue supporting its efforts to foster enhanced youth inclusion in the nation’s political and governance structures.
