This was part of the communique read to journalists by the forum’s director general, Comrade Faruq Abdullahi Maiyama, at the end of a meeting at his residence at Gesse Phase 1 in Birnin Kebbi.

He said the forum acknowledged the giant strides by the Nasiru Idris-led administration in the last two years.

According to the communique, a committee has been set up to advise the government on key areas, including agriculture, education, health, solid mineral development and security.

He also explained that the forum was not political or ethnic and comprised elders of all calibres from all parts of the state to advise the government on the way forward for the state’s development.
