The founder of SEEF, Rita Ebofin during the distribution of the gift items yesterday in Kaduna, explained that the initiative aimed at enhancing the well-being of elderly individuals in small-scale trade by providing support, promoting community integration, and ensuring dignified and fulfilling lives in their old age.

She added that her foundation also aimed at addressing the unique challenges faced by the elderly.
Ebofin said, “I targeted the elderly because if you look around you will see a lot of foundation for women, girls, children and widows. I kept thinking how come they have forgotten the elders. These elders actually need help, you see them struggling in their small businesses just to survive”.

According to her, the foundation gave funds to the elderly men and women to increase their businesses in order to take care of themselves.

“We gave them money to add to their businesses. Some of them don’t even have anybody to help them”.
Ebofin highlighted the foundation’s plans for the aged in 2025, adding that they want to see them expand their businesses and live healthy lives.
