In a renewed effort to cushion the effects of economic hardship on vulnerable families, the A.U.G Foundation, led by Malam Abdulhafiz Umar Barau (Dan Isan Gusau, Magayakin Tsafe), has launched a food relief distribution initiative in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The event, which took place at the palace of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Tsafe, Alhaji Muhammad Bawa, marked the flag-off of the programme titled “ALLAH NE GATAN TALAKA” (Allah is the Protector of the Poor).
During the exercise, 150 household heads received food packages designed to ease their daily struggles amid the rising cost of living.
According to the Foundation, the initiative reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting the most vulnerable across Zamfara, with plans to extend similar outreach programmes to all 14 local government areas of the state.
Speaking at the event, Malam Abdulhafiz Umar Barau reaffirmed the Foundation’s dedication to empowering communities and promoting social welfare. “This programme is about giving hope and reminding our people that they are not alone,” he said.
The Emir of Tsafe, HRH Alhaji Muhammad Bawa, commended the Foundation’s gesture, describing it as timely and impactful, especially at a time when many households are struggling to make ends meet.
Founded on principles of compassion and community service, the A.U.G Foundation has continued to implement several initiatives aimed at poverty reduction, youth empowerment, and humanitarian support across Zamfara and beyond.
