Zed-Faith Foundation International (ZFFI) took the lead to celebrate this year’s Children’s Day with the less-privileged children at the L.E.A School in Utako District of Abuja by donating over 5,000 bags, shoes and books to the pupils, to enable them focus on their studies in school.

Pupils warmly entertained guests and parents present at the occasion with colourful traditional dances, poetry and musical performances which were fully sponsored by the NGO to give down-trodden children within the community a sense of belonging that regardless of their position in the society, there is hope for them to achieve whatever they aspire to in life and they should not look down on themselves or be intimidated by the privileged ones in the society.

Nigeria Country Representative of Zed-Faith Foundation, Mr Chinnaya Innocent Chikwado, who represented the chairman and founder of the NGO, Mr. Daniel Onyeka Newman,  stressed the chairman’s commitment to continually support and empower the less-privileged children and adults alike through providing them with basic educational tools to help them achieve greatness not minding their parents’ social status in the society.

He stated that the donation was not a one-off gesture from the foundation while he challenged the pupils not to give up on their dreams and focus on their education and make their parents proud as the country needs positive talents and skills they possess and should be used for national development.

The headmaster of the school, Mr. Agyao Sabo, applauded the chairman and founder of the NGO for his usual support and affection toward the pupils.
