Foundation, NEWOMCII Sign Pact On Women Empowerment, Others

A Liberian civil society organisation (CSO), Nyonblee Cares Foundation (NCF) and its Nigerian counterpart, New Dawn for Women and Community Intervention Initiative (NEWOMCII) of Nigeria, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Action (MoU & A) in Monrovia, Liberia, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership.

The partnership is aimed at advancing women empowerment, healthcare support, community intervention and sustainable social impact across Liberia and Nigeria.

The MoU and A ceremony brought together representatives of both Non-Governmental Organizations; Liberia Senate Pro-Tempore, Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence and Nigerian philanthropist, Alhaji Bolaji Rilwan Raji, and development stakeholders committed to strengthening collaboration and for inclusive growth and humanitarian development.

According to a statement from the Media and Communication offices of the two organisation, the representatives of both NGOs emphasize the importance of cross-border cooperation, and partnership in addressing socio-economic challenges facing vulnerable communities. The collaboration is expected to focus on community development, women empowerment, education and healthcare services.

According to the statement, the partnership will promote sustainable local initiatives aimed at improving grassroots living conditions, create targeted programmes to uplift, train and support women. Others are enhancing access to quality learning and training opportunities and improving healthcare access and enlightenment for vulnerable populations.

“The leadership of Nyonblee Cares Foundation described the 3-year agreement as a significant step toward epanding humanitarian outreach and strengthening regional cooperation for sustainable cooperation.

“New Dawn for Women and Community Intervention Initiative (NEWOMCII), reaffirmed its commitment to working with credible organizations and institutions across Africa to deliver impactful programmes that support social transformation.
