Four Sentenced For Sodomy In Imo

An Owerri magistrate court presided over by Barr Uche Stella Chukwu has ordered four men to be imprisoned after they pleaded guilty to sodomising three young adults in the state.

37-year-old Chibuzor Peter was alleged to have had unlawful carnal knowledge of three boys aged 18 and 19 years using force, threats and intimidation. 

He was sentenced to seven years for conspiring with three others; Sunday, Chimezie and Oparaugo to sodomise the three boys forcefully.

The magistrate held that they committed an offence contrary to unnatural offense in violation of section 516 of the criminal code. 

They were sentenced seven years for violation of section 214 of the criminal code of the state. they pleaded guilty to charge(s).

However, while Peter bagged 14  years in jail, his partners bagged seven years with an option of a fine of N500,000 each. 

The magistrate ordered that the sentence should run concurrently. They have been transferred to the Owerri Correctional Centre.
