Eintracht Frankfurt have finalised a transfer agreement with Club Brugge for Super Eagles defensive midfielder, Raphael Onyedika, ending weeks of transfer speculation.
The Bundesliga side will pay an initial €9 million, with performance-related add-ons, for the 25-year-old. According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the player is slated for a medical examination in the coming days and is expected to sign a contract running through 2031.
Onyedika, who was notably absent from Brugge’s Belgian Super Cup loss to Union Saint-Gilloise on Friday due to illness, has been a cornerstone for the Belgian champions since his 2022 arrival from FC Midtjylland. During his tenure, he secured two Pro League titles, a Belgian Cup, and a Super Cup.
The move marks the Nigerian international’s debut in German football, as Frankfurt bolsters its midfield options ahead of the new season.
