The fire, which occurred on Sunday afternoon, was said to have destroyed her sitting room, living room, and other house areas.

Even though the cause of the inferno had yet to be ascertained, it was suspected to have started from the ceiling in one of the living rooms.

Narrating her ordeal to our reporter on Thursday, Hajia Samira said the incident happened in the afternoon and had destroyed the entire roofing of the house.
According to her, when the incident happened, both she and her children were at home.

She noted that the quick intervention of some good Samaritans prevented the fire from spreading to other houses in the neighbourhood.

When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the State Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi, said the agency did not receive a report about the incident.

ā€œWe did not receive a report on that particular fire incident, but we got two reports from Layin Yankaba and Layin Freedom around the Mohibba filling station, an old graveyard area,ā€ he said.
