Speaking at the November edition of “Fitness Core Paris for All” 2024, held at the French Institute in Abuja yesterday, lead partner for ParagonX, one of the partners for the event, Abayomi Adewole, emphasized the importance of discussing cardiovascular health.

Adewole expressed the need for increased awareness and conversation surrounding cardiovascular issues to promote better health outcomes for individuals and communities.

He said: “This November edition focuses on the critical importance of incorporating regular exercise into our daily routines.

Engaging in physical activities not only helps improve cardiovascular health by strengthening the heart and enhancing circulation but also plays a vital role in boosting overall well-being. Regular exercise can lower the risk of heart disease, manage weight, and improve mood and mental health.

One of the facilitators and chief executive officer of ProjectMufasah, Nathaniel Shofarasin, disclosed that the younger generation is plagued with cardiovascular diseases that could have been avoided with a decent lifestyle, exercise, and a good diet.

He emphasised the importance of maintaining a consistent fitness routine, such as going to the gym, swimming, or dancing, as these activities can significantly contribute to heart health and overall vitality.

Mufasah encouraged individuals to reduce their intake of excessive sugars and junk foods, stressing the benefits of getting enough sleep and making healthy dietary choices tailored to their goals, whether for weight loss or weight gain.

Also, Gafer Sundar, one of the participants, while expressing his gratitude to the organisers, said, “I want to express my appreciation to the organisers for putting together such an impactful event. Initiatives like this are crucial for promoting health awareness and encouraging a culture of discipline among participants.

By creating more health-centred events, we can foster a deeper understanding of wellness and inspire individuals to prioritise their physical and mental well-being. It’s essential that we continue to support such endeavours to build a healthier community for everyone.”
